Heat (Elements of Chemistry #2) by Penny Reid
188 str w wydaniu Kindle ;)
Four days left.
Private beach (…and boat).
Not so invisible girl.
And maybe less of a jerk-faced bully than originally thought.
What’s the worst (or the best) that could happen?
Kaitlyn is finding life outside of the science cabinet of obscurity to be quite illuminating …and so are her pants.
When
things heat up between Kaitlyn Parker and Martin—previously known as
the jerk-faced bully—Sandeke, she places her trust in the one person she
never thought capable of earning it, let alone keeping it safe.
Fortunately or unfortunately for Kaitlyn, where she gives her trust she
can’t help but also give her heart.
But how will the world beyond
the sanctuary of their newfound connection react to their relationship?
Soon senators, chinless billionaires, and elements beyond Martin and
Kaitlyn’s control want to weigh in on the young couple’s future.
Navigating
the chaotic inferno of new love might be more than Kaitlyn bargained
for, and much, much more than her trust—or her heart—can handle.
Ach, dlaczego przerwane w czytaniu, pytacie? A to dlatego, że mój poziom irytacji sięgnął zenitu, co do poziomu tej książki. Mam dość jak na razie ich niedojrzałości! I dlatego sięgnęłam po inną książkę.
I tak to ZAKOŃCZYŁAM PRZYGODĘ z tą powieścią - Bye, bye - I'll not missing you!
The Devil and Miss Prym by Paulo Coelho
A community devoured by
greed, cowardice and fear. A man persecuted by the ghosts of his
painful past. A young woman searching for happiness. In one eventful
week, each of them will face questions of life, death and power. Each of
them will have to choose their own path. Will they choose good or evil?
The
remote village of Viscos is the setting for this extraordinary
struggle. A stranger arrives, carrying with him a backpack which
contains a notebook and eleven bars of pure gold. He comes searching for
an answer that torments him:
Are human beings, in essence, good or evil?
In
welcoming this mysterious foreigner, the whole village becomes an
accomplice to hid sophisticated plot which will forever mark their
lives.
In this stunning novel, Paulo Coelho dramatizes the struggle
within every soul between light and darkness, and its relevance to our
everyday struggles: To dare to follow our dreams, to have the courage to
be different and to master the fear that prevents us from truly living.
The Devil and Miss Prym is a story charged with emotion, in which the integrity of being human meets a terrifying test.
Niestety SŁABA i brak chęci na brnięcie dalej.
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Audrey Niffenegger's
dazzling debut is the story of Clare, a beautiful, strong-minded art
student, and Henry, an adventuresome librarian, who have known each
other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married
when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one. Impossible but true,
because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with
Chrono-Displacement Disorder: his genetic clock randomly resets and he
finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity
from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous and
unpredictable, and lend a spectacular urgency to Clare and Henry's
unconventional love story. That their attempt to live normal lives
together is threatened by something they can neither prevent nor control
makes their story intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

Allyson Healey's life
is exactly like her suitcase—packed, planned, ordered. Then on the last
day of her three-week post-graduation European tour, she meets Willem. A
free-spirited, roving actor, Willem is everything she’s not, and when
he invites her to abandon her plans and come to Paris with him, Allyson
says yes. This uncharacteristic decision leads to a day of risk and
romance, liberation and intimacy: 24 hours that will transform Allyson’s
life.
A book about love, heartbreak, travel, identity, and the “accidents” of fate, Just One Day
shows us how sometimes in order to get found, you first have to get
lost. . . and how often the people we are seeking are much closer than
we know.
Styl bywa czasami ciężki - taki zawiły w opisie miejscami, więc może kiedy tam sięgnę jednak po polskie wydanie ;)

mi ją skończyć ;). Chyba trochę gramatyka odstrasza, bo czasami bywa

solving an attempted murder when the victim has lost a good part of his
memory? It's one of Kinsey's toughest cases yet, but she never backs
down from a challenge. Twenty-three-year-old Bobby Callahan is lucky to

only clues Kinsey has to go on are a little red address book and the
name "Blackman." Bobby can't remember who he gave the address book to
for safekeeping. And any chances of Bobby regaining his memory are
dashed when he's killed in another automobile accident just three days
after he hires Kinsey.
As Kinsey digs deeper into her
investigation, she discovers Bobby had a secret worth killing for--and
